Only when we look at life through the lens of death do we realise whether we fulfilled our purpose and meaning in life. Just imagine you are on the verge of death. Relive your entire life. Relive it again and again and again ad infinitum. Do you have any regrets?
Never regret. Regrets are useless. Mistakes, whereas, are opportunities for self-improvement. Personal growth comes from learning about the mistakes we make and it’s through personal growth that we derive meaning in our lives.
Life and Death
Death is the unlived life. Living by the philosophy of death, and the morality of death is weakness. Strength is necessitated for life. Strength derives from courage. Courage from virtue. Virtue, therefore, is the pillar of life. The virtuous human expresses their power responsibly over the world morphing it and creating it as material and moral Prometheans.
Living a moral and virtuous life is hard requiring arduous physical and mental activity. As a result, creativity is needed as you manipulate reality with your hands tied behind your back. Some think such difficulty is a sign of weakness and consequently a sign of living under a philosophy of death. It isn’t.
Our strength of character and our actions define who we are. Through our strength of virtue and character, we impact the world making it significantly better. We live by teaching others how to live. We can only teach others through leading by example and by making mistakes ourselves. Learning from mistakes makes us stronger. Admitting your mistakes is an act of betrothal to courage.
So relive your life again and again and again. Look at your past, present and future. Do you have any regrets? Yes. Act so your regrets you have made, are making now or will make turns into mistakes. Life isn’t worth living until you can relive your whole life eternally recurrent and say yes that’s the life I will live for eternity.
My Living Death
I am full of regrets in life. My life is inhibition, caution, dysfunction and infertility. No more. Let me lead by example, fail by example and learn by example. Documenting all this is the purpose of this website. Documentation so others don’t commit folly like I have and live through death. Death marks the end of each chapter in the eternal recurrence, don’t let it disease your character and virtue as well.
Friedrich Nietzsche distinguished the Master morality from the slave morality.
